Dublin's iconic Guinness Storehouse reopening with a few new surprises

AFTER ALMOST 120 days under lock and key, Dublin’s famous Guinness Storehouse is reopening to the public this weekend with a few added surprises.

One of the Irish capital’s most popular tourist attractions, the famous Guinness gates are set to swing open for the first time in just over 119 days this coming Saturday, July 11.

Visitors can look forward to learning more about the special ingredients, fascinating history and unique culture behind each and every pint of the iconic Irish stout.

As an extra incentive, the storehouse is hosting a series of special “Welcome Back” experiences to celebrate the grand reopening in style.

A special Welcome Back ticket offer is being made available to encourage visitors to return, and is priced at just €15.

Alternatively, a special Guinness Uncovered ticket is available for €25 and includes a unique 90-minute experience led by a beer specialist.

It offers an opportunity to taste all your familiar Guinness favourites as well as a few new, experimental beers from the Irish brewer.

Every tour also culminates with a visit to the Guinness Storehouse’s newly revamped Gravity Bar.

Offering incredible panoramic views of Dublin City, the bar is set against a backdrop of the new art installation from Dublin-based street artist ACHES.

As thank you for all the hard work and bravery during the pandemic, the Guinness Storehouse is offering free admission to Ireland’s frontline workers.

People working healthcare, public transport, and the postal services, to supermarkets, haulage, and utilities can claim a free ticket from 11th July to 31st December 2020 here.

There is a reduced number of visitors allowed at any one time, to ensure comfortable physical distancing and enjoyable and safe experience for everyone.

Online booking is also strongly encouraged and will allow visitors to secure an available timeslot for you and your group.

The Guinness Storehouse has also implemented stringent protocol around hygiene, while staff will be practicing and encouraging physical distancing measures at all times.

The storehouse is also, for the first time, opening its restaurant to the public, without purchasing an experience ticket.

They have collaborated with Fire & Smoke on a selection of new dishes designed to be paired with Guinness Draught, Citra IPA, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout but to name a few.
